CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #30

The current CAS-ual Fridays challenge coincided beautifully with a thank you card I needed to create for a friend.  In this Tic Tac Toe challenge, I had to either choose a row down, across or diagonal and use those 3 design elements to create a clean and simple project.

I chose the bottom row (Stripes, Orange, Aqua).  I was going for a simple classy look.  I think I accomplished my mission.  What do you think?

Thanks for looking,

Masculine Birthday Card

I wanted to make a masculine birthday card for my dad.  While my intent was masculine I think the design is neutral and could be used for other purposes.  My dad liked his card so mission accomplished.  I can't take credit for this design as I was totally inspired by a card I found on Pinterest.

Getting Krafty with Mojo Monday

This week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 215 provides a sketch that I can get krafty with...literally.  I have a thing for kraft paper.  I just love using it.  I recently purchased some My Mind's Eye kraft designer papers and I must say they spoke to the krafty in me.  So it should be no surprise that this card is mostly kraft...in form or another.

Thanks for looking,

CLOSED: Renuzit® Holiday Fresh Accents™ Review and Giveaway

I was given an opportunity to review Renuzit® Holiday Fresh Accents™ Collection.

Renuzit® Fresh Accents™ is an attractive air freshener that offers the following:

  • Stylish versatile two-side holiday design
  • Two holiday fragrances – Winter Berry and Festive Snow®
  • 30 days of continuous fragrance odor elimination
  • No plugs, batteries or flames needed
I must say I was impressed by the packaging as they are very fitting to accent (get it) anyone’s holiday décor.  The scents were very pleasant.  If I had to choose, I prefer the winter berry scent as it was just made my senses happy.  I put one in my family room, which is a rather large room so the scent did not permeate as much as I would like.  On the flip side, I put the other in a bedroom and the scent permeated very well in there. So, the size of the room plays a big part in how strong the scent will be in a given space. Overall, I was happy with the product.  Also, considering they retail at about 2 bucks a pop at most stores, it’s a value that can’t be beat.

Well, I think I have said enough about what I think about Renuzit® Holiday Fresh Accents™ Collection.  Would you like to form your own opinion?  Of course you would.  Well, I have the perfect opportunity for you.

I am giving away coupons to provide 3 individuals with an opportunity to try Renuzit® Holiday Fresh Accents™ for themselves.

How to Enter:
  • Open to continental US residents only.
  • Leave a comment letting me know where you would display your Renuzit® Holiday Fresh Accents™. Please include your name and email address in your comment.
Email format to reduce the possibility of spam: Your Email Address (at) XYZ (dot) com
  • Contest ends on Sunday, November 20th at 7:00 Central Time. Winners will be selected by Random.org. The winners will be notified by email and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner(s) will be selected.

Disclosure: Purex Insiders sponsored this giveaway by providing me with 3 Renuzit® Holiday Fresh Accents™ coupons to give away to randomly selected winners.  I received products to review, but all opinions are 100% my own.  No other form of compensation was given.

Triplicate Trials Tuesday Challenge #10

Time for another Triplicate Trials Tuesday challenge.

I went the clean and simple route with this challenge.  I printed the image on white cardstock and added some color with a Copic marker. To fancy the dress up a bit, I added some Stickles for some sparkle and shine.  Cute the image out and popped the image on a kraft panel that was lightly dusted with distress ink and the whole shebang was placed on a white cardstock base.  Pretty simple.

Hope you join in the fun at Triplicate Trials Tuesday.  Can't wait to see what you create.  You have until October 16th to participate.

Playing in the Rain

It's time for another Triple Trials Tuesday Challenge.

**Click on the photo for a larger view**

This challenge screamed for me to to mix some sunshine and rain together because of the colors and theme.  The image was the rain and mixed the sunshine in with the quote.

Since I tied this challenge with the Sundays with Crissy Challenge - K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stamper), I kept the layout as clean and simple as I could.

Please come play with us at Triple Trials Tuesday and check out the other designer projects. Plus, don't miss your chance to win the Clear to See stamp set by Lawn Fawn.  A fun challenge with a chance to win a a swanky prize...just for playing.  It can't get any easier than that.

He loves me, He loves me not

As soon as I saw this cute image from Di's Digital Downloads, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it.  Do you remember the childhood game of He loves me,  he love me not?  No?  Well, simply put, it's a game where you pluck the petals of a flower one by one. With every pluck you rotate saying he loves me and he loves me not.  So, when you get to the last petal will determine if he loves your or not.  Wikipedia has a better explanation, if mine didn't do it for ya.

I combined the game idea with the current CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, which was perfect as the challenge was to use a 4" x 9" card base.  The base was perfect to let the petals fall.

Did you notice that there were 7 petals on the flower and only 6 petals had been plucked so far?  So, it goes without saying that this card's sentiment ends happily.  The inside has the last petal where of course, HE LOVES ME!

Birthday Bucket

I have been a Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge follower since its inception, but rarely a participator.  I thought it was long overdue for me to get my MOJO on.  I recently acquired this Mo Manning digi stamp and thought it the prefect fit for the sketch.  Needless to say, I must put my spin on my card's sentiment.  I needed a birthday card, I saw the bucket and voila...the birthday bucket is born.

Chocolate Glazed Donut Anyone?

This week's Cas-ual Fridays Challenge is all about sweets and treats.  This challenge gave me the opportunity to revisit an old friend of mine...the chocolate glazed donut.  I {heart} chocolate glazed donuts.   I haven't had them in a long time as I've been making healthier choices.  That doesn't mean I don't sin in my heart just thinking about knocking back a couple of chocolate glazed donuts.

I used this cute digi stamp from Torico's Digital Gallery that I came across just last week.  Sweet coincidence!  I enlarged the image to make it large focal point.  Colored it with Copics and applied Glossy Accents to create the yummy glaze.  Doesn't it look delicious?  I'd like to think so, but that could just be chocolate donut jones talking.  Also, I used black twine to create the frame.  The twine pays homage to the Free For All (F4A73) Challenge.

What do you think of my chocolatey glazed delight?

'til I craft again or have something to say...
