Tool-rific Brithday

I made this card for my hubby’s birthday about a month ago. I wanted it to be rough and tough and all that stuff…so, I made it as masculine as I could. Granted, the sentiment "cutes-it-down" a bit  but overall, it’s manly enough.  I just made that up phrase up; cute? huh?  When he read the card, he gave me "the face"...the one that says, "there goes my corny wife, but gotta love her" face.  All that said to me was...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.  I don't do mushy - I either do funny, punny or just right out corny.

Let me know what you think.

I'm back!

I know it’s been quite some time since my last post and I truly do apologize if you have been looking for any new creations. I’m sure my fellow bloggers understand that maintaining a blog can be a time consuming venture and life can interrupt my interrupt my extracurricular ventures. Even though I haven’t posted anything in a while, I have been crafty. I will be sharing those creations with you over the next week or so.

So without further ado, let’s get to why you came to pay me a visit…

I made this about 2 months ago for my hubby…just because. Aren’t those the best kind of reasons; no particular reason at all?

My hubby loves his sweets, so I got him a cupcake from The Cupcake Collection, a local cupcake bakery. This place makes some of the best cupcakes in Nashville.

The card is clean and simple; just some paper, foam tape and a computer font and voila…there you have it. The word “Sweet” is also on the inside of the card. For the cupcake, I just printed the “Sweet” on cardstock, adhered to a toothpick and stuck it in.

BTW – You might’ve noticed the background of the photo is a little odd, but I had tried taking a picture with a white sheet back drop. It didn’t quite turn out quite like I wanted. I would’ve played around with it more, but you can only keep a man and his sweets apart but for so long. LOL!
