Doggone Get Well

My hubby has family that is undergoing surgery that will require an extensive recuperation time. So, I thought about making her a get well basket. I didn’t think to take pictures until everything was in the basket, but you can still get a good idea of the goodies in the basket.

I’ve been playing with this layout (courtesy of Jen del Muro) for two weeks and finally I was able to put something together. I guess I just needed a reason to be inspired. Plus playing for the prizes Jen's offering is not to shabby.

I saw the quote on Swayers Specialties when I was looking for something corny but meaningful to say on the front. I wanted all the elements to be representative of things a dog would love: dirt (embossed kraft CS), sun (yellow paper) and grass (designer paper).

'til I craft again or have something to say...

Supplies:
Stamps: Fred (Rubber Stampede); Paper: Grass Paper (DCWV), Kraft and Yellow CS (Hobby Lobby); Ink: Vintage Photo and Tea Dye (Ranger), Onyx Black (Tsukineko); Accessories: Kristen ITC Font (Microsoft), Assorted Markers (Copics), Oval Template and Embossing folder (Provo Craft)

Just Because Cupcake

A friend of mine sent me an email a couple of weeks ago asking for me to make her a card. I asked her why and she said, “Just Because”. So, I made her a card…just because. I used the layout courtesy of Jen del Muro.

She has some groovy prizes up for grabs at her site – definitely worth playing for plus you’ll have fun while doing it.  Surprisingly (at least to those that know me) I have two more cards to post...so check back soon.
