Happy Birthday!
I had another birthday card to do...this time was for my friend-girl. Creatively, I hit a mental road block. I didn't know what I was going to do. I had more freedom than I did with the previous two cards I did, because my audience was female.
I still couldn't get the creative juices flowing. I even had my hubby giving me ideas and he had some pretty good ones that I'll use at a later date. His ideas were more involved & time intensive and I had little time to produce (like it was the night before and 3-4 hours before my bed time). Of course, my time limit was my own fault because I am a terrible procrastinator. I'm working on it... :) Anyway, without further ado - here's my creation for my friend-girl...
The mental anguish (I exaggerate just a tad bit for some drama) was worth the effort, because she was quite happy with the card. BTW - this card was given to her on time. It was only given to her the day after her b-day because I didn't see her yesterday. Just in case you were wondering.
'til I craft again or have something to say...

Happy Birthday Bro'
Here we go again...Another card for another man in just a matter of days. It's my hubby's brother's birthday. I have never created so many (I know...like 2 is a lot) cards for men in such a short period of time. Weird, hunh? Well, I just bit off my creative thinking for the Boss' Card I created a couple of days ago. I like how the colors work well together. Of course, this is not a card for a man unless my hubby give his "Dude Approval" stamp...which he did. Please excuse the photo as it's slightly askew.

Boss' Day
Yesterday evening, my friend-girl that I work with called me to say that today was Boss’ Day and could I “the procrastinator” create a card. I like my boss and I knew no one at work had remembered – so I said sure. In response, she actually questioned if I would produce a card overnight because of my previous track record as a procrastinator (see this post). Gotta love that jokester. Well...the joke is on her because I came up with this…
I really love the color combination. My husband helped me select the colors and it just happened to match the ribbon which I've been wanting to use since I bought it. The ribbon played into the All That Scraps Design Team Challenge #22. Anytime I have to do a card for a guy – I always get my husband’s “dude approval” (that’s what he calls it). I was also inspired by this card's layout to help achieve a masculine look. I impressed myself, my friend plus the really important one…my boss. He really liked it. That made it worth staying up late to complete it.
