True Friend

I've been wanting to participate in the Sketch for You to Try challenges more often than I have in the past.  Now that the challenges are monthly instead of weekly, I have ample opportunity to participate and so I did...

I made this card for a friend of mine that I not only consider to be my best friend...or as she would say the closest thing to a best friend I've got (that's her version of touch-feely), but she's like a sister to me too.  She was with me when I bought this stamp set.  Actually, she told me to buy this one specifically.  So, it's only right that I make a card for her with it.  Plus, I think that was her original goal anyway. LOL!  On the inside, I'll keep it a surprise as she'll probably be reading this post before she even gets it.  I'll add what it was after she gets the card.

As always, thanks for stopping by.

Fly, Fly Butterfly

I wanted to create something quick and simple. With some scraps, a stamp and a little glitz and here you have a clean and simple design that’s a little askew…

Please excuse the less than stellar pic...not that any of my blog pics are all that stellar but this one is lacking the potential of even knocking on the door of stellar-hood.

This card is part of the SCS Way to Use It Challenge – Butterfly Bliss (WT305) & the Try a New Technique Challenge – Silhouettes (TLC308).

Thanks for visiting and please let me know what you think.

~Supplies~
Stamps: Delicate Leaf Clusters (Hero Arts)
Paper: Red, Orange and Brown CS
Ink: Fired Brick and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink (Ranger)
Accessories: Butterfly Punch (Marvy), Diamond Stickles (Ranger), 1 1/4” Square Punch (EK Success), Foam Squares
'til I craft again or have something to say...
